The largest items of expenditure for the Club are pool hire and coaching. These costs are constant throughout the year making it possible for us to estimate an annual subscription cost per swimmer.

Pool Hire costs have been raised by a further 5% for 2008 although we have frozen our fees for all swimmers at last year's levels.

----------------------------------------------

The current fees for 1 April 2008 to 31 March 2009 are:

Annual membership.....
Swimmer £60 (inc. insurance)
Non Swimmer £1 (inc insurance and voting rights at AGM)
+
Annual swimming subscriptions.....
1 swim session per week (single):£132 (£11 per month)
>1 swim session per week (multi):£264 (£22 per month)

----------------------------------------------

Ex-members of NASC and members of other swimming clubs wishing to swim on odd occasions may do so if there is pool space for a charge of £3 per swim session.

Annual membership fees are payable in April (covering 1 April to 31 March) and members joining throughout the year are required to pay a pro rata fee calculated in months.

Individual ASA registration fees are due in January and are passed directly to the ASA. The Club has no say in the level of these fees. Our Treasurer can advise you of the current cost.

We must stress that the calculation aims to cover running costs for the whole year. Closures for holidays and maintenance have been taken into consideration when calculating the annual cost per swimmer. Therefore fee payments cannot vary whether your child utilises their pool time or not. Subject to pool availability, we aim to provide three evening training sessions for at least 46 weeks of the year.

Annual membership fees are due on the first of April each year. We do appreciate however that for those of you with more than one child swimming it is a large amount to pay. We will therefore accept payment of the annual membership fees at the rate of one child per month, e.g. three children £60 in April, £60 in May and £60 in June.

For those wishing to pay their annual swimming subscriptions in monthly instalments, subscriptions are due in advance on the first of each month. We request that you pay by standing order through your bank (forms can be obtained from the Treasurer). This increases security and greatly eases administration. Where this is impossible, please pay by cheque, avoiding cash transactions.

Please note that prompt payment is critical to the running of our Club.

There are only limited reasons when we will accept that subscriptions can be waived e.g., broken limbs or an illness exceeding eight weeks.

Subscriptions can only be waived for full months. A credit or refund will be given if you have paid for the year in advance.

Fees are subject to annual review and are agreed at the AGM.
